Roman's Pizza was founded by Arthur Nicolakakis in 1993 when he purchased a
struggling pizza restaurant, with the intention of turning it around using his
extensive knowledge and expertise. Soon after taking over the store, he
realised the product was ridiculously overpriced and instead of changing the
price, he decided to rather keep the same price, but give two pizzas for the
price of one. That is when Little Caesar’s came into being. As public demand
grew for the competitively priced products, it lead to the opening of Little
Caesar’s in other locations in Pretoria and surrounding areas. In 2002 Little
Caesar's underwent a name change which favourably lead to the “birth” of
Roman’s Pizza. Since then the company has gone from strength to strength due
to the franchisor’s hands-on approach
